4 cylinders in line, 1910 cc, twin damper mass and dual ramp flywheel,
4 valves per cylinder with hydraulic tappets, 2 overhead camshafts with
geared drive transmission, air supercharging with variable geometry
turbocharger and intercooler,
Bosch Common Rail EDC-16C8 electronic injection system.

The vehicle is equipped with a system that allows the choice between
two driving styles: normal and sports.

Pressing the SPORT button shown in the diagram, produces a sports driving
setting featuring greater responsiveness during acceleration.

This function produces:

- a more lively response by the engine

- increased sensitivity of the accelerator pedal to the supply of power.

This function is especially useful if maximum performance is required,
for example when overtaking.
The LED in the SPORT button lights up when the function is on.
Press the button again to turn the function off and restore the normal driving setting.
When the SPORT function is on, there may be some jerking whilst driving which is
typical of a sports setting.
The power and torque curves illustrated below highlight the different supply
specifications between engines in the same 1.9 JTDm group where a specific map
highlights the sports performance of the DUCATI CORSE 170 bhp.
